I have been on the hunt for the perfect white blazer but I have been disappointed with what I've seen. The blazers were boxy and looked like I was wearing a lab coat. When I stopped in to my favorite store, Zara, I found a blazer I loved. This white blazer has a tuxedo-like lapel which is the perfect detail to dress up a simple basic.

Too add some color to my outfit I put on this gorgeous blouse from Forever 21 which has the perfect pop of bright orange. You can expect to see this again on my blog for the spring.

Friday Favorite: Red Roses

With Valentine's Day quickly approaching I thought it would be appropriate to treat myself to a new perfume. I love trying new fragrances. My new addition is the Red Roses Cologne by Jo Malone which smells just like a bouquet of roses.

I love how the perfume was packaged for me at Nordstrom.

This would be a great Valentine's Day gift ;)

The perfume has a slight pink tint to it. How lovely!

I'm so glad I purchased this perfume. It's the perfect day time scent that can easily be layered with something a little heavier for the night.

MAC Haul: Orange!

As you may notice from the lack of outfit posts I am still feeling under the weather. I'm hoping I will have enough energy tomorrow to start back up again. For now I will leave you with a quick post about what I got at the MAC store.

This is the first time in a very long time that I've actually purchased any MAC products. I got an amazing true orange lipliner and I did a "Back-To-MAC" for a lipstick and a lipgloss.

Did you know they now have paper bags?

The colors are a bit washed out. I don't have the best lighting at night.

This lip pencil in "Entertain Me" is limited edition.

"Morange" lipstick and "Lychee Luxe" lipglass are permanent colors.

The coral tone of the lipglass will help tone down the intense orange of the lipstick.

I will definitely using these three items together to create the perfect bold orange lip. I can't wait to try them out.

Beauty Haul

I had to stop by Target today and I was determined to walk out with ONLY the things on my list. Well, we all know how that story goes. I made the mistake of walking by the cosmetics aisles. So many new products; I couldn't resist.

What did I buy? A foundation, lip balm, concealer, eyeshadow, and makeup wipes.

These makeup remover cleansing wipes are super gentle on my skin.

I'm finally trying Revlon's PhotoReady foundation in #005 Natural Beige after seeing it mentioned in SO many "favorites" videos on YouTube.

Maybelline has come out with some new products. I picked up a DreamLumi touch highlighting concealer in #330 Nude, a Baby Lips moisturizing lip balm in #10 peppermint, and a Color Tattoo eyeshadow in #45 Bold Gold (it reminds me a lot of MAC's Paint Pots).

Today I am feeling a bit under the weather; I finally caught my first cold of the season. Since I'm not in the mood to get dressed up today (I'm typing this while in my pjs), I'm going to take the opportunity to just talk to y'all :)

When I first started blogging I was just a girl sharing her thoughts about fashion and beauty.

I never thought it would grow into so much more.

I have been given amazing opportunities and I am so grateful. None of it could have been possible without all of you. I still get blown away at the fact that thousands of you are interested in my thoughts and what I have to say. I can't believe it :)

This weather has me all discombobulated (I always wanted to say that word lol). It's hot during the day and freezing at night which makes picking an appropriate outfit difficult. How do I solve this problem? I dress in layers.

My tee shirt was super lightweight and was perfect for layering underneath an army green linen vest. The trouser jeans are quickly becoming my favorite. They are extremely comfortable and have a stretch that makes the fit amazing. And my shoes...well they're the ones I got the most votes for a few blog posts ago :)

Sneak a Peek...Fashion Haul

Ever since I bought a garment rack I've gotten into the habit of hanging up my new purchases so that I can style them for a blog post or show them to you all in a haul video.

I haven't had the time to sit down and film a video so I thought I would share some of my favorite pieces here on my blog.

This blouse is my favorite piece in my entire closet at the moment. I love color blocking and when it is done with neutral colors the garment becomes extremely versatile. I purchased it the day after Christmas at Ann Taylor at 50% off retail price. I love bargains!

I also purchased a sweater from Ann Taylor which would look amazing with my new

Kut From Kloth red skinny jeans.

(By the way, Ann Taylor is having 40% off everything for the New Year right now!)

The "Diana" is the standard skinny jean from Kut From Kloth. I'm in love with the bright color denim and since red is one of my favorite colors this pair was a must-have.

The "Ali" is a fit and flare cut with a super dark wash from Kut From Kloth. These are the perfect jeans to dress up with a silk blouse or dress down with a tee. Plus the fit is amazing!

The "Catherine" is the perfect boyfriend style jean from Kut From Kloth.

The denim is a nice heavy material that will withstand wash after wash.

As you can see I have an ever growing obsession with Kut From Kloth.

I love the way their jeans fit! I have six different pairs now. Eeek!

OPI Nicki Minaj Collection: My Picks!

I'm not the biggest fan of Nicki Minaj, but when I heard she was going to collaborate with nail polish giant OPI I knew I was in for a treat.

The collection was everything I thought it'd be: bright, colorful, and a bit avant-garde.

Above are my top picks. Look how bright and crazy they (at least for me).

There was also a dark purple shatter and a silver glitter in a charcoal colored base.

left-right: Fly; Did It On 'Em; Pink Friday; Save Me

"Fly" is a gorgeous aqua color. I picture wearing this on my toes a lot in the summer.

"Did It On 'Em" is an ugly lime green color that I couldn't resist. It's bright without being neon.

"Pink Friday" is the perfect cool toned Barbie pink; just think bubblegum.

"Save Me" is a silver rainbow glitter with long strands of holographic bits. Simply gorgeous!

Just for fun: close up shot! Look at that holographic glitter.

My nail polish freaks (like myself) will appreciate that :)

Which Shoes?

There are many important things in life like having food and shelter. And then there are first world problems that revolve around material things. Case and point, my blog post for today.

I love shoes! I'm on the hunt for the perfect versatile pair for the Spring/Summer 2012 season. I really like these two below but I just can't decide.

This first pair is by Vince Camuto. I love the color blocking with the neutral tones and the gold accent hardware on the inside of the chunky heel.

This second pair of shoes in question is by Jessica Simpson. I love the rich color and the thick rubber on the bottom that will make it comfortable to walk in for hours.

I get so excited when a new collection is released by Chanel. Although the price of their nail polish is high, I love to indulge in a bit of luxury by purchasing one (ok, maybe two or three) of the new "It" colors for the upcoming season.

For Spring 2012, I fell in love with #533, April. It's a perfect light raspberry color that can be worn now in the Winter and can transition into the warmer months.

Wet N Wild: New Eyeshadow Palettes

As a makeup enthusiast I'm always visiting my favorite beauty blogs to learn about new products that have been released. I love Wet N Wild eyeshadows and when I heard a new matte palette was released I squealed with joy. I also bought one of their new baked eyeshadow palette in, of course, the neutral tones. Both palettes are limited edition. I found them at Walgreens.

These baked eyeshadow definitely need a base. They come off a little flakey when applied but the colors are right up my alley.

A good pair of faux leather shorts has been hard to find. It's an item that has been on my shopping list since last year. I couldn't find the right fit, the right color, the right silhouette; it felt like mission impossible. After searching high and low I spotted these shorts at Kohls. I love the color and the pleating in the front. The material feels soft yet durable. They are definitely a new staple in my Fall wardrobe.

OPI's Muppet Collection

On Tuesday I shared this photo with my Twitter followers:

I had heard that a new OPI Holiday collection was coming out. I immediately started googling for more info. Long story story, a YouTuber by the name of TotalMakeupJunkie101 posted a haul & review. I was determined to track these suckers down. I found a fully stocked display at Planet Beauty.

Here are my new sparklicious additions:

Designer...de Better!; Warm & Fozzie; Rainbow Connection;

Gettin' Miss Piggy With It; Fresh Frog of Bel Air

"Warm & Fozzie" is one of my must-haves for the Fall.

It's a gorgeous bronze and gold shimmer.

"Designer...de Better!" is a light gold base with golden flecks.

The shimmer is intense and gives an almost foil affect.

"Gettin' Miss Piggy With It" is a fabulous red and silver glitter in a clear base.

I can't wait to pair this with my Chanel "Black Satin" polish.

"Fresh Frog of Bel Air" is the perfect Christmas glitter.

It's green and silver in a clear base would look great over OPI's "Jade Is The New Black".

"Rainbow Connection" is THE polish of the collection. A lot of people have compared it to Deborah Lippmann's "Happy Birthday" & Milani's "Gems" polish. It's very similar and I love using it as an accent polish.

This is the nail combo I'm wearing at the moment. I can't wait to try out the others.

For the longest time I have been reluctant about purchasing anything rose gold. To me it always looked like it was tarnished gold.

Last week I found a gorgeous bracelet and a great pair of hoop earrings at Nordstom. They're the perfect rose tint and have stunning rhinestones. I love the color against my skin tone.

Fall's Must-Have Nail Polishes

The moment I hear that a new nail polish is being released by Chanel my heart starts to pitter patter. Call me crazy but there's something luxurious about applying Chanel polish. Am I the only one that feels that way? Probably.

Anyway, let's move on from me talking about my nail polish obsession to the fun part.

What new nail polishes made it home with me?

Graphite (a metallic silver) and Peridot (a greenish gold) were added to my collection. I also managed to purchase a new color from Deborah Lippmann called "Billionaire" (a dark olive green).

I don't know what it is about feathers but I'm obsessed with them. Perhaps it's because I'm seeing everyone wear them in their hair. Or maybe I just like them. Yeah, I'll go with the second reason :)

Feathers are a fun and daring way to amp up a plain summer outfit. I like to look for feathers that have more of a neutral tone to them so I can easily mix and match them with my wardrobe.

Bye Bye Glitter!

If you're like me and have used glitter nail polish you know that we have a love-hate relationship with them. We love the shine and dimension that they give but trying to get these polishes off your nails is a pain.

That is no longer the case! I came across this technique of polish removal on a nail blog that I was randomly searching. I am not taking credit for coming up with this method. I just thought I'd share this helpful tip with my readers.

I started off with three coats of this glitter polish from Sephora. Three coats? Yes! Trying to remove it like traditional polish would take forever.

So here is what you need: a nail polish remover, cotton balls, and square pieces of aluminum foil big enough to wrap around your finger and a cotton ball.

I decided to use one of my favorite polish removers by Deborah Lippmann which smells like lavender and works really well. It also comes with a pump top which is really convenient.

You're going to start by dampening your cotton ball with the polish remover (don't completely saturate it because you'll have remover all over the place). Place it firmly on top of your nail and wrap a piece of foil around your fingertip. Make sure it's nice and tight so that the remover does not easily evaporate.

I failed my first attempt. I only left it on for about 1 minute. What a dummy, haha! You need to leave your fingers wrapped for about 5 minutes.

When you go to unwrap your fingers, give them one last good rub down with the cotton ball and voila! You're glitter is gone and your nails are clean.

So long glitter! See you later!

Glitter nail polishes are all the rage at the moment. I love pretty much anything that sparkles so when I received an e-mail from Sephora featuring this nail polish I knew I had to see it in person.

It's called "Traffic Stopper Copper" Top Coat by Sephora by OPI, retails for $9.50, and is sold exclusively at Sephora. It is described as "clear with fine and chunky bright copper glitter". It is fun to see something other than the typical silver and gold metallic.

I applied 3 coats to get this super heavy metal effect and I actually really like it. It's a nice color for the spring time.

The Cyphert

Color are getting brighter. Fabric is getting lighter. Spring is coming!

And with spring approaching there are new key pieces I'd like to purchase. First thing on my list: a gorgeous feminine handbag.

This bag, the Cyphert, is from Aldo and is available online. It comes in a wide variety of colors and has pockets inside. It is structured yet feminine. It also reminds me of a luxury brand but without trying to copy it exactly. I love it!

This is one of the first outfit of the days where I've taken several pictures and tried to make something different from my usual videos. I don't have a someone to take pictures of me or a high end camera (although I wish I did). For now all I have is my Mac and Photo Booth :)

Thanks to YouTube I have become obsessed with nail polishes. My collection was overwhelming and in need of organizing. I decided to go thorough and pick my favorite colors that I use most often. Here is what I decided to keep and how I store everything.

MAC Viva Glam Gaga 2

I am a huge fan of nude lipsticks, MAC, and Lady Gaga so of course when I heard that a new Viva Glam set was being released I was really excited. These colors are much more wearable than the gorgeously obnoxious bubble gum pink MAC released last year. The texture is creamy, the color is perfect, and all proceeds go to charity. I'm in love!

Celebrity Inspired OOTD: Emma Roberts

When I flip through fashion magazines I am always ripping out pages with celebrities in outfits that I love. I collect these inspiration photos in a folder and try to recreate them on days when I have a bit of extra time. Here is one of them.

I love the simplicity of the outfit, that is until you get down to the shoes. The bold print shoes are the main focus of this outfit and that is what I tried recreating in the video posted below.

I Must Be Crazy!

A couple of weeks ago I posted the picture below on my Twitter. I was so ecstatic that I had finally gotten my hands on the Urban Decay Naked Palette. Oh how excited I felt!

However, now that I have it at home I have hardly touched it. Here is why. I love the colors, don't get me wrong. I just feel like I already have very similar colors. I am a huge fan of neutrals but did I buy this just because of the hype that surrounds it?

Sadly, I think I have to say "YES!". I'm kind of disappointed. I suppose if you don't have a lot of neutral color shadows this would be amazing for you. I on the other hand am over this "Naked" madness lol.

So now I'm stuck with a question: what should I do with the palette? Should I return it to Ulta? Blog sale? I'd love to hear from you ;)

On My Nails: Essie!

It's no secret that I have become obsessed with nail polish. I am always on the hunt for the perfect colors. Lately I have heard a lot of people talking about Essie so I had to check out the polishes for myself.

Let's just say I fell in love. The consistency is just right. The brush is small which allows me to carefully apply the product. The colors are spectacular. The price of $8.00 isn't bad either. I purchased mine at Ulta.

Here are swatches of my newest polishes:

Sew Psyched

This army green with a touch of gray is one of my new favorite colors.

Mesmerize

This is a gorgeous true blue.

Lapis of Luxury

To me it seems like a darkened sky blue color.

Turquoise & Caicos

A sheer turquoise. Takes a few coats to become opaque.

Lilacism

My new favorite lilac pastel for the spring.

Ballet Slippers

What a pain to apply but so pretty. This was 3-4 coats.

Creamy pink.

Love this burgundy.

A warm-toned mauve.

Nail Polish Obsession

I don't know what has come over me. I'm completely neglecting my makeup collection. I haven't purchased anything other than basics lately. Perhaps I realized how much I have lol.

Or maybe I have found a new love? Introducing NAIL POLISH! I have become obsessed with painting my nails. Here a few colors I have tried this past week.

Deborah Lippmann: Shape of My Heart

An amazing milky pink; very soft and lady-like.

China Glaze: Re-Fresh Mint

A true mint green color. Great for the spring!

Finger Paints: Just Plum Fun

Gorgeous dark plum color that is softened by it's slight shimmer.

Love & Beauty: Sage

May look similar to China Glaze's "For Audrey" but it's much more of a green. Think Chanel's "Jade" perhaps?

Splurge on Classics: Louis Vuitton Tote

I'm a huge fan of Louis Vuitton so it is no surprise that I decided to purchase another bag. This one is more practical for my day to day routine. So what is it?

My top secret shopping bag...

..it is the Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM in Monogram canvas.

You can cinch in the sides to make it appear a bit smaller and decrease the size of the top opening.

This is one of the side laces that allows you to change the shape of the bag.

There is a clasp in the center to help hold the bag closed.

The interior has a large zipped pocket that is perfect for holding any valuable items.

This bag also has a d-ring (top left hand side) which is perfect for keys or a small clutch.

This bag is perfect for me. I have been using it for the past few days and I love it. It is great for shopping, running errands, and traveling. The Neverfull GM was a great investment piece that I will be using for many years to come.

My New Shopping Philosophy

If you know me, or have at least watched my YouTube videos, it's no secret that I like to shop. Clothes, accessories, makeup, I'm all over it.

I used to buy any little thing that caught my eye. After countless trips to the mall I started to notice that I was spending tons of money on things that weren't high quality and would usually go out of "style" within a few months.

One day it finally dawned on me. It's time to use my money a bit more wisely! It's always fun to go to the mall and pick up a little something here and there but why not save up and make some big purchases on quality items that are going to last for years to come?

Is it time for me to end my little shpeel? Haha!

Beauty Splurge: Tom Ford Lipstick

If you are an avid YouTube beauty video viewer like me then I am sure you have heard of the fabulous Tom Ford lipsticks. For the longest time I wanted to get my hands on one of these babies but I couldn't bring myself to purchasing something I had never seen before online. So a week or so before Christmas I made the trek to my nearest Neiman Marcus. I was so excited!

These lipsticks are everything they are hyped up to be. They're super creamy, incredibly pigmented, and the packaging is impeccable.

I purchased Moroccan Rouge which is the perfect bold day-or-night lip color for me.

What's my favorite thing about this lipstick? That would have to be the elusive "click" sound you get when you close the case. J'adore!

OOTD: Cover Me In Jewels

This past weekend was Black Friday, a major shopping day here in the U.S. Just like you would expect, I did do a little bit of shopping for myself. The madness of people everywhere makes me excited. Here is a short little peak at a few things I purchased.

This floral top and lavish pearl and silver chain necklace are from H&M. I love the necklace but it feels extremely heavy on.

My fabulous new nail polish from Chanel in Riva. Such a gorgeous baby blue color from the new Cote D'Azur collection.

I adore this ring set from Forever 21. I love the look of the rings stacked together. Reminds me of Rachel Zoe. I die :)
